Mineola Union Free School District is located in Nassau County, New York. 

Nassau County is one of the 4 counties that comprise Long Island.  Long Island extends 118 miles (190 km) from New York Harbor, and has a maximum width of 23 miles.  The school district is comprised of 7 schools, 1 pre-K Kindergarten center, 4 elementary schools grade 1-5, one middle school and one high school.  The school board is comprised of 5 elected officials who appoint a superintendent. On July 1, 2009, Michael Nagler was promoted from Deputy Superintendent to Superintendent.
