This week (October 19-23) has been designated School Board Recognition week by Governor Patterson. It is a time for us to recognize and commend school board members for their dedicated service to the children of Mineola. Please join me in thanking all five of our school board members.

Thanks for your warm words. I think of all our Board members as parents first and then BOE members. Being a BOE member is a very, very tough job and I know this Board is working very hard and taking our job very seriously. We will not forget the trust that you have placed in us.
The Middle School PTA would like to send their thanks to the Board of Education for their time and effort as board members. Please always remember what you would have wanted for your children when and while they are going through the School District when making those tough decisions. You have an important role in our district and are the voice of the community. Best of luck to you all.
On behalf of the Cross Street PTA, a heartfelt thanks to Mr. McGrath, Mr. Hornberger, Mr. Hale, Mrs. Napolitano and Ms.Salvatore for giving so much of their time and energy to our community. Certainly the position of board member is not an easy one, but so very important. With many tough decisions ahead, it is our hope that the board will continue to stay focused on what is good for ALL the children in our district. We greatly appreciate your service.
