Band Rocks!
Well my prediction came true. After watching our band play at their home show I was convinced it was their year to take first place in Syracuse. They did. The Band scored 88.05 and snatched the cup from last year’s 1st and 2nd place winners in our division.

The road to first place started at around 10:30 at night as the first rehersal in Band Camp 2009 came to an end. The additonal hours that were put in this year contributed to the success as well as the love from the parents and the energy and commitment from the instructors (old and NEW). This accomplishment is dedicated to the parents, instructors, band members and color guard of the 2009 Mineola Mustang Marching Band and Color Guard.
SUCH GREAT NEWS!!!! Congratulations to all those hardworking band members and adults involved!!!!
I’m so thrilled for the Marching Band – what a triumph for them. As a mother of a band member, I personally saw how the staff and kids worked so hard and gave so much of themselves to earn this distinct honor, and bring a state championship home to Mineola!!
However, I notice that no mention was made about this anywhere on the website except in this blog. I’m hoping that this news can be shared as soon as someone logs onto the website. This wonderful news is certainly deserving of being on the front page!
CONGRATS MINEOLA MUSTANGS! You make us proud!
This was 8 yrs in the making and we are so proud of the students who came before and the ones that are here now to bring us to this amazing and historic milestone!
Do you think its possible to bring back the conversation of a Homecoming parade so that the Marching Band can show off their award winning performance to their community!
