Mineola Superintendent's Blog

More than a day off

In order to keep the polling places accessible, schools are traditionally closed on Election Day for a Superintendent’s Conference day.  It is an opportunity to provide professional development for our staff on a variety of topics.  This year we continued to build on the two major themes of the last two years, namely technology and meeting the needs of special learners. The early results indicate it was a very productive day.  Special thanks to Sherri Goffman and Janice Patterson for organizing the day.
