Jackson Avenue and Thanksgiving

I happened to visit Jackson today and the building is filled with food!  The first graders were sampling different types of holiday food as part of their Social studies unit.  Ms. Bodson made home made applesauce and Ms. Fiorentino made delicious pumpkin bread.  The hallway smelled great outside of the third grade classrooms as they prepared for their Heritage Feast.  And Mrs. Castillo’s room was filled with 23 baskets of donated food to help families in need.  Nothing like seeing the holiday spirit in full swing.

  1. Yes, Jackson did it once again! Many thanks to our Student Council, Mrs. Kerr (my buddy) and a very generous family from the Garden City area.
    Happy Thanksgiving to all!
