Meadow Drive Library
Yesterday I had the privilege to join State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli and Meadow Drive Principal Pat Molloy in dedicating the library at Meadow. Mr. DiNapoli, a graduate of Mineola schools, donated 50,000 while he was a State assemblyman. The monies allowed us to purchase new bookcases, new tables and chairs as well as a computer area for teaching and research. The entire school filled the halls for the presentation and we were entertained by the 4th and 5th grade chorus. I am still humming the song hot Chocolate!

I would like to also add my praise to the librarian, Mrs. Bellusci, whose good work is so evidenced by the comments of all those who attended. A fine library is a reflection of the expertise and dedication of a fine librarian.
What a wonderful ceremony! The children were wonderful. The library looks great and Mr. DiNapoli had so many warm words and memories of Meadow Drive. Drives home the fact that small neighborhood schools are so important to the development of children. I feel very honored to have attended such a great day in Meadow’s history,,,
