Middle School on a roll

Recently the Middle School has won two very prestigious State recognitions.

S3Tair Model School   It’s a big deal!  We are at the forefront of Response to Intervention (RTI) and can now be looked at as a model for others to follow! Supporting Successful Strategies to Achieve Improved Results (S3TAIR) is a Staewide program designed to offer examples for other schools to emulate. Mineola Middle School is recognized for their successful validation of an Effective Special Education Practice under the S3TAIR Project, NYSED/VESID’s IDEA State Personnel Development Grant.

School of Character- The Academy for Character Education at The Sage College bestowed an Honorable Mention N.Y.S. School of Character to Mineola Middle School.  The school submitted an application based on their Anti-basis club as well as new curriculum that is evident throughout the building. Kudos to Mr. Barth, Mr. Smith, Jennifer Machin, Ian Dunst, Nancy Bolliterri, Drew Smith, Joan Eisle-Cooper, Jerrill Critchley, Stephanie Honigand Jennifer Kehoe, and everyone else involved in making these programs exemplars
