Before and after school programs

On Monday afternoon please look for a flyer about SCOPE programs for next year.  We are trying to ascertain how many parents would be interested in before and/or after school programs.  We can set one up in each school if there is enough interest.  SO-Any building can have a morning program if a MINUMUM of 20 parents express interest.  The same is true for an afternoon program.   If interested please complete the tear off and return to your child’s teacher ASAP.

We are also optimistic that Harbor Care will be up and running in September at Willis.  They offer a morning drop off program that provides breakfast at Willis and then bus the children to his/her school.  Those parents taking the train or need a very early drop off (I believe they will be open by 7:00 am) may be interested in that program.  As soon as the lease is finalized Harbor can provide definite details.

I thank you for your patience as we work out details.  I am aware that these services are critical to you and we are working to provide you the best options.

Great news regarding the offering Scope programs for next year. How can the parents of incoming kindergarten students who do not have children at the schools get this flyer so we may be counted towards the minimum?

  2. I am a parent of twins who will be entering Kindergarten at Meadow this September. We need Scope after school! Please be sure central registration has a count of parents like me!

    Thank you.

Great news regarding the offering Scope programs for next year. Is there a way this flyer could get to the new incoming families so that they are aware of the available before/after school programs? Incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten parents who do not already have a child in the elementary schools like myself will not have the opportunity to “tear off and return to our child’s teacher” expressing our interest. Perhaps we will hit the 20 minimum if the new families are interested as well?
