Thank Your School Nurse
Today is School Nurse Day. National School Nurse Day is a time to commemorate our long-standing profession! More than a century after Lina Rogers became the first school nurse in the UnitedStates, there are now greater than 3,000 New York State school nurses and more than 76,000 school nurses nationwide. Remember to thank them for all they do!

Thank you Dr. Nagler for acknowledging School Nurse’s Day. I think I can speak for the Mineola Nurses when I say that taking care of Mineola’s children is a privilege and one that we take very seriously. School Nursing has come a long way since Lina Roger’s time and staying current and knowledgeable is as important as our teachers learning new methods of teaching and evaluating. Thank you again for taking the time to recognize our profession and thanks to all the parents, children and staff who value what we do!
