Oh What a Beautiful Evening
I just got home from seeing OKLAHOMA and it was fantastic. I counted 77 students on the stage at once! And an additional 20 students backstage. (give or take a few) It really is a sight to see. Mr. DeLuca, Mrs. Peters and Mr. Carreras continue to outdo themselves with the size and grandeur of the production. If organizing 100 middle school children to dance, sign and speak were an Olympic sport they would certainly get the goal. The entire cast was superb. C.J. Asam was phenomenal as Curly. Kayleigh Bugalla must be a new comer to the stage because I don’t think you can forget her voice. Kristina Shevlin stole the show as the spunky and opinionated Aunt Eller. Melissa Dunlop’s voice was overshadowed by her acting abilities. Joel James’ Will Parker was memorizing. Christopher Holowat- who knew? His Jud Fry made me nervous- and I was in the balcony! I absolutely believed that Theodore Bischoff couldn’t stay out of trouble. Emily Pusey’s screech could be heard on Jericho Turnpike. Jillian Palma’s costume changes threw me for a while, but whatever the outfit she danced beautifully. The entire ensemble made the show and each cast member contributed something special to the production. They are: Anthony Sarno, Tyler Villalona, Charlotte Ring, James Sullivan, Matthew Connolly, Daniel Roach, Rory O’Conner, Adam Beasley, Rob Devlin, Felica Villa, Kathleen Guda, Sera Levy, Kelly Behan, Emily Skupp, Angela Steinmann, Allison Yarri, Marcella Rodriguez, Lauren behan, Madison Brady, Antonia Ciuffo, Athena Colacito, Veronica Hurd, Alexandra Ianelli, Meghan Lafaye, Erica Sais, Samantha Santomauro, Annie Cripps, Taylor Dalton, Marissa Karasz, Cara Kennedy, Brianna Lopes, Amelia Morelli, Christen Patalano, Danielle Sullivan, Erin Beatty, Jaylyn Borges, Bill Bradley, Francesca Ciuffo, Valerie Cobos, Emily Comito, Matt DeStefano, Shannon Durham, Angelina Filpo, Shaina Gross, Rosalina Herbert, Madeleine Jex, Catherine Leong, Tamiya Leggs, Bella Marchiselli, Samantha Marcia, Sara McCarthy, Emily Mendes, Paulina Morandi, Victoria Ondris, Kayla Orefice, Carolina Parada, Nicole Pereria, Haley Perlow, Marina Pimenta, Nicole Pires, Matthew Ramos, Ali Scala, Gabby Schreib, Erin Servinskas, John Steinmann, Erin Talty, Michelle Vandestouwe. And the CREW- John Rhim, Dan Rhim, Jenna Pareti, Andrew Pereira, Mallory Donelen, Matthew LaFaye, Catie Cunningham, Kyle Kern, Madison Wolfe, Katie Norona, Aldrain Diaz, Sara Pines, Erin Gruppe, Samantha Pastore, Jubilee Hwang, William Walton, Katie Shi, Ryan Sellinger, Julianna Caruso. Wow that is a lot of typing! Congratulations All. Go see the show tomorrow at 2 and 7:30 you won’t be disappointed.
CONGRATULATIONS to all the students who performed in OKLAHOMA! My family and I went to the 2:00PM performance and it was AMAZING! The singing, the dancing, and the music were wonderful. Thank you to all the teachers and parents involved!
As a PROUD Parent I too must say what an amazing job everyone did…from the cast on stage, the crew who worked so hard behind the scenes and the parents. It truly was a community effort and I was honored and privileged to be a part of that community. A big thanks to Mr. Deluca, Mrs. Peters and Mr Carreras for believing in Tyler (Mr. Carnes)and giving him the opportunity to shine…it truly was something that he will carry with him for a lifetime…he is already looking forward to what next year holds for him in the HS!!!
Congratulations to the entire cast of Oklahoma! My colleagues and I had a wonderful Broadway Night right here in Mineola. I felt very proud to see Jackson and Meadow Drive students (Chris, Kristina, Tyler, Matthew, Rosalina, etc.) turned into big stars. Keep it going guys. You will reach your dreams!
Thanks again for such a wonderful night!

Another GREAT performance….so many very talented kids, nice to see everyone getting a chance to shine !!! Thanks to teachers like Mr. DeLuca, Mrs. Peters and Mr. Carreras for their endless energy and dedication to our children in this district….and to those parents who help behind the scenes as well as all those who come out to see the performances …..i think everyone would agree that it’s a program that is worth every cent and should not be taken for granted !!!
Every year I sit in wonder at all the talent our children have! Mr. DeLuca, Mrs. Peters and Mr. Carreras have once again outdone themselves. We also can’t forget the parents and the crew who are the glue that hold a production like this together. When the community works together, whether they are part of the production or sitting in the audience, it just can’t be beat. Bravo!
