Parents for Megan’s Law

Recently I have received quite a few “sex offender notifications”.  This is just a reminder that if you haven’t already signed up for the e-mail alert program with Parents for Megan’s law  please take a few minutes to do so. 

Mineola UFSD has joined many Long Island school districts in linking the Parents for Megan’s Law (PFML) website to our district website.  This is an organization that has developed a Sex Offender E-Mail Alert Program, funded by county, state and local programs, which provides community-level support with sex offender notifications.  Once registered, PFML will notify you via e-mail each time the Nassau or Suffolk County Police Department distributes a sex offender notice. If you do not wish to register for the e-mail alert system, you may still access the information by logging into their website at www.parentsformeganslaw.com.

 

Residents without internet access may use any of the Public Library facilities to check for updates.
